What Are Hazardous Materials?

A chemical or compound is given the hazardous declaration by the Federal Hazardous Materials regulation. As a rule, this regulation is overseen by the USDOT, the United States Department of transportation. The MSDS contains critical information required for the safe transport of chemical shipments. In particular, section 14 of the MSDS provides the UN# as well as the class and group packing number.
